P&P comes in uncoated art paper, this one has a rose petal finish which in my opinion makes it better 'cause it's easier to care for.īut enough about that. The main difference, at least compared to my other 2 Deluxe Editions, Pride & Prejudice and Anna Karenina, is the material of the cover. If you have a Penguin Deluxe Edition you already know what you're getting: french flaps, deckled edges, and nice very tactil paper with easy to read print (the margin does seem to be a little narrower tho) (There's also a peculiar smell on my copy that i had never smelled before on a book but I'm hoping that goes away) The biggest complain i have for this copy is the lack of any substancial complementary text to the novel, you get a 1 paragraph blurb on the very first page and when you turn it over the "about the author" page, that's it! I've been searching for a while now for a copy of this novel, my first choice was the Penguin Centennial Edition unfortunately I waited too long to get it and now the shipping cost for every single copy available on e bay is ridiculous and i can't seem to find it anywhere else online so I had to settle for this one, the Penguin Orange Collection edition. Why did no one told me how pretty this editions are?!
